When I first started my business as a professional photographer, an email list was no where on my radar. Emails were boring and I had more exciting things to learn and start implementing! A few years in, I started listening to more and more business podcasts and investing in my business education. Turns out… an email list can be PRETTY valuable. Who knew? 🤷‍♀️

The first email marketing company I tried was Mailchimp. To be honest, I didn’t like it at all. Looking back now, it could have been because I had no clue what I was doing. But regardless… I didn’t use it like it was meant to be used and gave up on the free version pretty quickly.

Theeen I quit emails all together for a little bit. I felt like it was just too much to try and learn and add to my admin work. Plus, again, boring! Who reads emails!?

Fast forward to 2021 and I decide to take a hard turn in my business to education and coaching. I felt like with this I surely needed an email list, right? (I still wasn’t 100% on board or sure) I mean every big name coach I followed and listened to swore by an email list. You gotta keep up with your numbers… even if you’re like me and hate them. Flodesk has such an easy and convenient way to see your analytics so you can see how well your marketing is working!

5. The customization in the builder is top notch!
